Starting back in the 1960’s, our grandparents, Gerald and Beverely Clarke began extruding HDPE drainage pipe. In 2015, from much hard work and determination, the drainage business was successfully sold to a leading pipe manufacturer from the United States. Producing drainage pipe from 2” to 72” pipe from 4 locations in Canada.
During that time at a young age, Dan and Joan Clarke (owners of Libby Mfg since 2015) participated working in the family pipe business for 30 years prior to the sale. Dan and Joan recall working many long hours daily in the business. Working in the family pipe business they built many relationships and gained much overall knowledge and experience operating in the plastic extrusion industry.
Today, thanks to Gerry and Bev’s humble beginnings in the plastic extrusion industry the family tradition lives on. At Libby Mfg the family tradition continues with Dan and Joan’s son and daughter, Tyler and Nicole Clarke. Libby Mfg is evolving as a leading manufacturer of Polyolefin Plastic Sheet extrusion producing HDPE, Polypro and HMW in both smooth and textured finishes. Libby supplies customers across North America operating from two manufacturing locations in Eastern and Western Canada offering multiple sheet extrusion lines in both facilities.
