3D Design Concepts, Inc. was officially founded in April of 2014 as an S Corporation after several years of servicing customers privately. Founder Jason Carlton specializes in product development and has over a decade of engineering and design experience. Jason earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 2007 and his Masters in Business from the University of La Verne in 2010. He started working for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in 2007 and recently left to pursue this business in 2018. He focused in design and analysis in engineering school and has used these skills for previous aerospace companies and other product development companies prior to JPL.
In 2013, Jason returned to Cal Poly Pomona as an adjunct professor and taught a mechanical design course. He has a passion for design and uses his years of experience to make designs practical, intuitive and as simple and cost effective as possible to fabricate. Jason is a Certified SolidWorks Expert (CSWE), Certified Weld Inspector (CWI), Certified in Welding and Fabrication and Automotive Technology. Jason has built an extensive network who he can use to help in design, prototyping and fabrication of your project that he offers to his customers.
